Networks – Wireless and Wired

Wireless Network

Coming August 1st, we will be changing our wireless network to better serve you!

In August, connections will be persistent for the academic year with no need to log in each time you move from building to building.

There will be 3 wireless connections on campus:

WU Reg Com – used by faculty, staff and students who choose to register their devices
WU Guest – used by all campus guests (2 hour connectivity limit)
WU Academic – used only on Walsh owned laptops and desktops

Because we use two different types of access points (Cisco and Mojo) the designation of “C” or “M” will be appended. For example if you are in Alexis you will connect to “WU Reg Com M” but in classroom buildings you would connect to “WU Reg Com C”.

Check the building listing to see what buildings have Cisco (C) and Mojo (M).

In order for you to have connectivity for the entire academic year:
– You will need to find your to MAC address, click here for how to find it.

–  Register your device  BE SURE TO CHECK MAC ADDRESS IS CORRECT BEFORE HITTING SUBMIT! Bad MAC addresses will delay processing and you will need to re-register.

– A wireless key will be emailed to you (24-48 hours) that will only work once your device has been registered.
– You will enter this key the first time you connect to the “WU Reg Com C” or “WU Reg Com M” networks.
– Once connected, you will automatically be connected to these networks when in range as you move around campus.
