Wireless Network
Connections are persistent for the academic year with no need to log in each time you move from building to building.
There will be 3 wireless connections on campus:
WU Reg Com – used by faculty, staff and students who choose to register their devices
WU Guest – used by all campus guests (2 hour connectivity limit)
WU Academic – used only on Walsh owned laptops and desktops
In order for you to have connectivity for the entire academic year:
– You will need to find your to MAC address, click here for how to find it.
– Register your device BE SURE TO CHECK MAC ADDRESS IS CORRECT BEFORE HITTING SUBMIT! Bad MAC addresses will delay processing and you will need to re-register.
– A wireless key will be emailed to you (24-48 hours) that will only work once your device has been registered.
– You will enter this key the first time you connect to the “WU Reg Com C” or “WU Reg Com M” networks.
– Once connected, you will automatically be connected to these networks when in range as you move around campus.
To Connect on a mobile device after receiving your password key email:
- Settings
- Find your wifi settings
- Click on the WU Reg Com M or WU Reg Com C networks (you will need to enter the password for each one if you need both)
- NOTE: You will need to do this when you are in the building of the network
- Enter the password/key that was sent to you (this is CaSE sensitive)
- Click Join or Connect
To connect on a laptop/desktop after receiving your password key email:
- Click on your wifi signal on your Mac or PC
- Find the WU Reg Com M or WU Reg Com C networks (you will need to enter the password for each one if you need both)
- NOTE: You will need to do this when you are in the building of the network
- Enter the password/key that was sent to you (this is CaSE sensitive)
- Click Connect/enter to connect
